PREMO Group inaugurates a manufacturing plant in Vietnam

PREMO, Global leading supplier of RFID antennas for the automotive market, inaugurates new manufacturing plant located at Dan Nang Technological Park.

The factory is located in the industrial zone Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc, in the province of Quang Nam, 15 kilometers from the city of Da Nang. It has an area of 7,000sqm, with a usable area of 5000sqm and 2,500sqm of production.

The new plant will takes in the medium term 45% of the production of components that are now manufactured in China. The plant in Vietnam is the third opening of the group outside Spain, joining those that are already operating in Tangier (Morocco) and Wuxi (China). The Group has three R&D centers, located in the technological Park of Malaga (Spain), in Grenoble (France), more focused on avionics and a third one in Seoul (Korea). Premo employs 800 people around the globe and expect to reach 1000 workers by the end of the year with the opening of the new factory.

Premo, headquartered in Malaga and 54 years of experience, has invested around 2 million euros in the new manufacturing plant. The company had € 31 million turnover by 2015, 30% more than the previous year, and has doubled EBITDA to 4 million.

Company orders continue in constant growth from 2012 and now exceed 30M€. The company has projects and supply agreements for more than 350M€ in the field of electric mobility, RFID, NFC, Internet of things (IoT) and Smart Grids and expect to close 2016 year with 37 million of net sales and EBITDA of 7M€ (80% of growth).

The speakers at the opening ceremony included Mr. David Bendel, President of the company, Mr. Javier Puig,Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Spanish Embassy in Vietnam, Mr. Jose Antonio Bretones, Consul Honorary, Ezequiel Navarro, CEO at PREMO Group, and Mr. Le Tri Tranh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committees.
