The EMTS demo kit is an embedded stand-alone, high precision and low-cost 3D tracking system. The system positions an object in 3D, outputting the absolute position (XYZ) and rotation (pitch/yaw/roll) of the system components in respect to each other, making it a so-called true six degrees of freedom (6DOF) tracking system.
The AmfiTrack electromagnetic field (EMF) tracking system can be used for a wide range of applications. However, main benefits are full six degrees of freedom (6DOF) tracking, high precision, low system components cost, easy installation, and no line-of-sight issue, which as a very notable advantage compared with camera-based tracking systems.
Please also note, that the AmfiTrack technology is customizable, making it ideal for integration into our customers own products.
The demo kit contains:
- 1 pc source controller (ATSC1)
- 1 pc medium range source (Premo 3DCC28-A-0039J)
- 3 pcs sensor (ATS1, with Premo 3DV15 inside)
- 1 pc wireless receiver hub (ATWR1)
- 2 pcs USB cables
- 1 pc USB power supply (5V/1A)
- 1 pc suitcase with special foam insertion
- Demo software (AmfiTrack Viewer), Getting started video, USB protocol
The kits allow to run a system with one single 3D magnetic field source (connected to power supply) and three individual battery-powered wireless sensors. Each sensor has a 3D magnetic field receiver and a high frequency link to the USB receiver hub. The receiver hub translates the position and orientation data from each sensor to the laptop software.
All calculations are being made in the stand-alone wireless sensors. Laptop software only shows 3D information on screen, not being involved in the 3D calculation algorithms.

Pls note that you need to calibrate the sensor(s) after power up, in order for the sensors to be recognized by the system/software.

This picture is showing the calib position when using the next gen source, which is included in your dev kit. The sensor calib position does not need to be very precise at all, more for hemisphere detection. You find the calib position og the sensor approx 30-40 cm away from the Z/Y side of the source, and 30-40 cm up from the source plane (see picture). The sensor will stop blinking and light up constantly yellow, when the calib position is correct. Then push the button of the sensor, and the sensor should be shown in the demo software.
