Technical Content Writer - Freelance

We are looking for a creative technical writer to write consistent, creative, high-quality tech copy for publication on our blog to improve the company SEO position. We welcome fresh thinking, new approaches and creative content that attracts, retains, educates, and inspires our community.
The technical writer will collaborate with marketing and technical teams to craft effective communication and content strategy to consistently deliver quality copy through cross-functional collaboration. The writer will produce content according to the company needs, participate in the brainstorming process, and conduct research to develop writing. The writer will also assist with other creative processes, such as the visual element selection process such us images, charts, or diagrams.
Responsibilities
• Write clear and attractive copy
• Proofread and edit blog posts before publication as needed
• Understand the audience intended for the material and the requirements of the project.
• Conduct research, interviews, and obtain information as needed to complete projects
• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Repurposing old content for maximum impact
• Research industry-related topics
• Coordinate with marketing to illustrate posts
• Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach & increase web traffic
Required skills
• Background in Electronics is highly preferred
• Proven experience as technical content creator or related role (3+ years).
• Strong technical writing skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
• Experience explaining technical ideas in simple language
• Experience with SEO
• Creativity
• Ability to respond quickly to company needs and meet deadlines
• Portfolio of published articles
