About 3DPower Technology: 

            

Premo 3DPower™ is a revolutionary concept in power magnetics integration. Existing magnetics within conventional HEV On-Board Chargers and DCDC converters are merged into one single and compact product. Maximum power density is achieved by reducing the size and increasing the power dissipation with the latest high thermal conductive materials. Designs can be fully customized to meet any customer requirement.

It is the first product to integrate two magnetics components that share the same core and feature two orthogonal magnetic fields at all points within the core. 

3DPower™ Pot-Core uses a custom pot-core shape where 2 inductive components are integrated. One of them is placed in the pot-core itself and the other one outside the pot-core as if it were a toroid. This product allows us to solve the engineering challenge of integrating magnetics: in this case it consists of a choke and a transformer. Unlike other magnetics integration technologies, both components share the whole core volume in the 3DPower™. For this purpose, the magnetic field of one component is orthogonal to the other, resulting in 2 independent and fully uncoupled magnetic elements.

R&D DIRECTOR AND INNOVATION CHIEF OFFICER PREMO MÁLAGA

Claudio Cañete, engineer degree in electrical & electronic engineering, by Málaga Technical Engineering School) and automation & industrial engineering, by Valencia Polytechnic University, has more than 15 years of experience in several disciplines of Electronic Technologies.

He started in Premo as process engineer, developing the first automatic process to manufacture 3DCoils in huge volumes. Moving later to Sales department, becoming Automotive Sales Manager in the group and handling major worldwide automotive tier’s one customers. In 2017 he became Innovation Manager, implementing the new innovation focused strategy of the company. Since 2018 is the R&D Director of the group, in charge of all new product developments.

              R&D MANAGER PREMO FRANCE                             

Patrick Fouassier, Engineer degree and PhD in electrical engineering, has more than 20 years of experience in magnetic components related to signal and power electronics.

He studied at INPG/ENSE3 engineering school and did his thesis in G2ELab close to the Alps. After his prior position as R&D Manager at MICROSPIRE, a French company oriented towards professional markets like defense, avionics and space, he joined the Spanish PREMO Group in 2008 when participating in the creation of the PREMO FRANCE office located in Grenoble area .

His activity is now fully focused on the development and project management of innovative solutions for the automotive sector with components for battery chargers and DC/DC converters used in new electrical and hybrid cars
