Premo RFID has reported a keyless entry systems project with Whetron electronics, one of the Chinese leading companies in passive keyless entry systems in the automotive sector, for the Sou-E China vehicle.

Whetron, located in Suzhou (China), develops and manufactures security systems, remote keyless entry systems, back sonar systems, door actuators, auto light systems, multi-processor communication systems and others new auto parts.  They also provide relevant technology and after-market service for Passive Keyless Entry Systems in vehicles since 27 years ago. Whetron, with 130 employees and customer in all Asia, Australia, Central America and South America, is OEM supplier of SEM (Mitsubishi), SGM (GM), TTMC(Toyota), FHC(Mazda), CAF(Ford), Shenyang Jinbei and other motor manufacturers.

The low frequency emitter antenna and the RFID transponder are the key elements in the Passive Keyless Entry Systems. Solutions used in the project are part of the PREMO company's big bet; the innovation. Premo RFID is pioneer in the integration of 3 singles antennas into one monolithic component, the 3DCoil, technology patented by PREMO in 2001 and the emitter antennas, new product range showed in the latest international electronica fair 2008. The project will contribute 1million euros to the PREMO sales in China.

Premo RFID has created a strong R&D department at its Wuxi plant and simultaneously has developed a wide sales network in China. The company wants to increase its presence at the Asiatic market which is already 25% of the total turnover.
