The ATA5279C is a 6-channel LF antenna driver device for passive entry/go (PEG) systems (car side).

Key Characteristics:
  • Capability to drive high currents (up to 1A for 3 channels)
  • Very low power-down current consumption
  • High performance and easy handling
  • Wake-up and initialization channel to the key fob
  • Output driver stage protected against overload and heat

The ATA5790 is a microcontroller-based system solution device for immobilizer and passive entry/ passive start (PEPS) applications with immobilizer functionality (CMMI certified). The IC includes an ultra-low power Flash AVR® (8-bit) microcontroller, an LF 3D front end, and an LF 1D transponder front end.

Key Characteristics:
  • 32-bit unique device identification number
  • Small 5mm x 7mm QFN38 package
  • Very low current consumption, in listening mode about 5mA
  • 3D LF receiver with RSSI operates at 2.5mVpp worst case
  • Built-in AES-128 cryptographic engine and Atmel® protocol stack for maximum security protection with fast authentication time
  • The immobilizer interface can run in contactless mode, allowing energy supply and data transmission via the LF link

Contactless Transponder
LF contactless transponders operate in passive and active modes with integrated codecs for enhanced LF communication ranges and ultra low-power AES-128 cryptographic engine for using immobilizer and PEPS (passive entry/ passive start) with 3 receiver channels.

Antennas
PREMO, a leading RFID components manufacturer, provides the 3D-coil receiver antenna family (3DC15 series: 3DC15-0491J/3DC15CAP-0491J). These antennas are low-profile and highly-sensitivity components which help to reduce cost, save PCB space and increase circuit reliability.

PREMO's offering also includes an emitter antenna family, the KGEA-BFCWX series (KGEA-BFCWX-B-0345J), designed for optimum emitting-reading distances in the smallest volume.

Both antenna series operate at 125 kHz and are in mass production at PREMO manufacturing sites (China and Morocco).

PREMO's emitter antennas (catalog standard values) are available for 20, 125 and 134.2kHz operating frequencies with different inductance/ capacitor combinations and appropriate current capability. All members of the KGEA series (type BFCR, BFCWX, BFCAM, etc.) have been developed using special ferrite (low losses) and capacitors dedicated for high pulse applications (COG and low ESR). The antennas meet the AEC-Q200 (specific automotive quality standard) and IP68 standards due to their specific packaging (rugged plastic box filled with polyurethane foam). As standard version these antennas are delivered without connector. If requested by the customer, a connector can be added during production according to the customer's specification (waterproof or non-waterproof).

PREMO provides 2 different 3D-coil sizes (3DC11LP and 3DC15), and 3 different mechanical versions (standard label, cap and foam).

PREMO's 3D coils comply to AEC-Q200 for automotive applications. In addition to automotive passive keyless entry applications, their outstanding performance also make them a perfect fit for RFID access control systems, for example in residential areas, RTLS (Real Time Location Systems) applications, and many more.
