PREMO has developed a wide range of emitter antennas for passive keyless entry system in automotive application.
A combination of low and high frequency system allow you to reduce power consumption and not more worries of Key lost and locking the Key in the car, this mean a big revolution coming from a small device.
The car will automatically unlock for you as you approach it, and lock when you walk away. Just walk up to your car, get in (no ignition key required), press a button to start the car and you're off!
The system works by having a series of LF (low frequency, 20kHz, 125kHz, 134kHz) transmitting antennas, both inside and outside the vehicle. External antennas are located in the door hadler, mirrors or trunk position. When vehicle is triggered either, close to vehicle, pulling the hadle or touching it an LF signal is transmitted from the antennas to the Key. Key is activated and transmited its ID back to the vehicle using RF channel, if Key code is correct the electronic module unlock the vehicle.
PREMO offers three kinds of emitter antennas to cover any market request. The KGEA-WT series: winding ferrite plus capacitor with heat shrink tube, intended to be protected by final customer assembly; the KGEA-BFC series: winding ferrite plus capacitor inside a plastic box (fully potted) with or without external connector; the KGEA-DH, IA and BA series winding ferrite plus capacitor overmoulded (built-in connector).
Several combinations of inductance and capacitor values are offered as standard versions. Any other combination can be provided, together with the possibility of fully customized design.
