Spain is a success story when it comes to wind power sector development. Spanish companies are currently leading the world market and have become an international reference. Not just turbine and components manufacturers, but also operators and service providers have developed strongly and globally in the last 10 to 15 years. By the end of 2008, 16.000MW of wind power had been installed in Spain. Plus, Spanish companies have installed 8.000MW in foreign countries.
Cleantech Finland, in collaboration with FINPRO and ICEX, has organized the so called Business Forum, celebrated in September 16th 2009 at the Helsinki Congress Centre. The main target was for Finnish authorities to communicate the strategic growing plans to Spanish companies in order to create future business agreements and associations for the wind power generation aggressive plan achievement. PREMO, among world players such GAMESA, ACCIONA, FOMENTO, BANCO SANTANDER, INDRA and INGETEAM, were invited by ICEX to join this interesting Forum.
